Halloween energises both young people and grown-ups to dress up and visit friends and neighbours with the playful intention to frighten them. \nWhen they visit my door\, they say\, “Trick or treat”\, and when I say\, ‘OK\, how about a trick?’\, all I get is a wide-eyed stare! I know\, of course\, they are looking for a treat and hold out their hands for whatever I might have to give. \nHalloween is really about Darkness\, but as Christians\, we know that Jesus brought Light to the world\, and so the theme for this month is Darkness and Light. \nLooking at the calendar for this month I see the British Summer Time (BST) officially ends on the 27th\, how appropriate!
