DESCRIPTION:The service for Remembrance Sunday will start in church at 1050 hours \nInformation from the Butter Cross Magazine: \nREMEMBRANCE PARADE & SERVICE – SUNDAY 10 NOVEMBER \nThe annual parade will start at 10.25am and march through the town to the Parish Church and War Memorial for the Remembrance Service. \nYounger participants will parade to the Church and will then be escorted back to the Methodist Church Hall for a Service. \nThose organisations wishing to take part in the parade should form up on Eaton Place Car Park before 10.15am. \nFollowing the service the parade will form up on Cherry Street at 11.50am and march past the Saluting Base at the northern end of the square to Eaton Place Car Park. \nYounger participants will join the parade at the entrance to Robert Miles School. \nBingham Town Centre will be closed to traffic from 10.25 to 10.40am and again from 11.50am to 12.05pm.

DESCRIPTION:Time Together in Church\, Sunday October 20th\nMost of you know what the end of October means\, and I’m not talking about the political situation. Halloween energises both young people and grown-ups to dress up and visit friends and neighbours with the playful intention to frighten them. \nWhen they visit my door\, they say\, “Trick or treat”\, and when I say\, ‘OK\, how about a trick?’\, all I get is a wide-eyed stare! I know\, of course\, they are looking for a treat and hold out their hands for whatever I might have to give. \nHalloween is really about Darkness\, but as Christians\, we know that Jesus brought Light to the world\, and so the theme for this month is Darkness and Light. \nLooking at the calendar for this month I see the British Summer Time (BST) officially ends on the 27th\, how appropriate!
